A   Heare o thou shepherde of Israel, thou þt; ledest Iacob like a flocke of shepe: shewe þi; self, thou þt; syttest vp&obar; þe; Cherubins. ^noteBefore Ephraim, B&ebar; Iamin ∧ Manasses: stere vp thy power ∧ come helpe vs. Turne vs agayne (o God) shewe the light of thy countena&ubar;ce ∧ we shalbe whole. O LORDE God of hoostes, how l&obar;ge wilt thou be angrie ouer the prayer of thy people? Thou hast fed th&ebar; with the bred of teares, ^note yee thou hast geuen th&ebar; pl&ebar;teousnes of teares to drynke. Thou hast made vs a very strife vnto o&highr; neghbours, ∧ o&highr; enemies laugh vs to scorne.

Turne vs agayne (thou God of hoostes) shewe the light of thy co&ubar;tena&ubar;ce, ∧ we shalbe whole. ^noteThou hast brought a vynyarde out of Egipte, thou didest cast out þe; Heith&ebar;, ∧ pl&abar;te it. Thou maydest rowme for it, ∧ caused it to take rote, so þt; it fylled the l&obar;de. The hilles were couered with the shadowe of it, ∧ so were the stronge Cedretrees &wt; the bowes therof. B   She stretched out hir bra&ubar;ches vnto the see, ∧ hir bowes vnto the water: ^note Why hast thou then broken downe hir hedge, that all they which go by, plucke of hir grapes?

The wilde bore out of the wod hath wrutt it vp, ∧ the beestes of the felde haue deuoured it. Turne þe; agayne (thou God of hoostes) loke downe from heauen, beholde ∧ viset this vynyarde. Manteyne it, that thy right h&obar;de hath pl&abar;ted, ^note ∧ the sonne whom thou maydest so moch of for thy self. For why? it is br&ebar;t with fyre, ∧ lyeth waist: o let th&ebar; perishe at the rebuke of thy wrath.

Let thy honde be vpon the man of thy right honde, ∧ vpon the man wh&obar; thou maydest so moch off for thine owne self. And so wil not we go backe from the: oh let vs lyue, ∧ we shal call vpon thy name. Turne vs agayne o LORDE God of hoostes, shewe the light of thy co&ubar;tena&ubar;ce, ∧ we shal be whole.
