A   There was a man vp&obar; mount Ephraim, named Micha which sayde vnto his mother: The thousande and hundreth syluerlinges which thou hast taken vnto the, ∧ sworne, and spoken of before myne eares: beholde, þe; same money is by me, I haue taken it vnto me. Then sayde his mother: The blessinge of the LORDE haue thou my sonne. So he gaue his mother the thousande ∧ hundreth syluerlinges agayne. And his mother saide: That money haue I sanctified vnto the LORDE &wt; my hande for my sonne, to make a molten ymage: therfore I geue it the agayne. Neuertheles he delyuered þe; money agayne vnto his mother.

B   Then toke his mother two hundreth syluerlinges, ∧ put them forth to þe; goldsmyth, which made a molten ymage, þt; was afterwarde in Michas house. And thus the man Micha had a gods house, ∧ made an ouerbody cote, ∧ Idols, and fylled þe; handes of one of his sonnes, þt; he mighte be his prest. ^noteAt þt; tyme was there no kynge in Israel, ∧ euery man dyd the thinge þt; was righte in his awne eyes. There was a y&obar;ge man of Bethleem Iuda, am&obar;ge the kynreds of Iuda, and he was a Leuite, and was a straunger there. The same wente out of the cite of Bethleem Iuda, to walke whither he coulde.

C   And wh&abar; he came vp to mount Ephraim

vnto the house of Micha, to go on his iourney, Micha axed him: Whence c&obar;mest thou? He answered him: I am a Leuite of Bethleem Iuda, and am walkynge where I can. Micha sayde vnto him: Tary with me, thou shalt be my father and my prest, I will geue the euery yeare ten syluerlinges and thy appoynted raym&ebar;t, and meate and drynke: and the Leuite w&ebar;te on. And the Leuite agreed to abyde with the man: and he helde the yonge m&abar;, as one of his owne sonnes. And Micha fylled the Leuites hande, that he mighte be his prest, and so he was in Michas house. And Micha sayde: I am sure the LORDE wyll do me good now, that I haue a Leuite to my prest.
