1 Wolde God thou shuldist to-breke heuenus,
and comen doun, fro thi face hillis
shulden flowe doun,

now, Lord, oure fader thou art; wee
forsothe clei, and oure makere thou, and
the werkus of thin hondus, alle wee.
9 Ne
wrathe thou, Lord, ynou&yogh;, and no more
haue thou mynde of oure wickidnesse.
10 Lo! Lord, bihold, thi puple alle wee. The
cite of thin hoeli mad is desert Sion,
desert mad is Jerusalem,
11 desolat is the
hous of oure halewing and of oure glorie,
where preiseden thee oure fadris,

oure desirable thingus ben turned in to
fallingus.
