PSALM XLVII. 1   The salm, or the preising of the song of the sones, or to the sones of Chore, the secounde of the wike.

2    noteThe grete Lord, and preisable ful myche; in the citie of oure God, in his holi hil. 3   It is founded in ful out io&yogh;ing of al erthe; the mount of Sion, the side of the north, the cite of the grete king. 4   God in his housis shal be knowen; whan he shal vndertaken it. 5   For lo! the kingus of erthe ben gedered; thei camen togidere in to oon. 6   Thei seende thus gretli wndreden, thei ben alle disturbid; thei ben togidere stirid, 7   trembling ca&yogh;te hem. There sorewis as of the berende child; 8   in an hidous spirit thou shalt to-brose the shipis of Tharsis. 9   As wee han herd, so wee han seen, in the cite of the Lord of vertues, in the cite of oure God; God foundede it in to with oute ende. 10   God, wee han vndertake thi mercy; in the myddel of thi temple. 11   After thi name, God, so and thi preising in to the endis of the erthe; of ri&yogh;twisnesse ful is thi ri&yogh;thond. 12   Glade the hil of Sion, and ful out io&yogh;e the do&yogh;tris of Jude; for thi domes, Lord. 13   Goth aboute Sion, and togidere biclippeth it; tellith in the touris of it. 14   Setteth &yogh;oure hertes in the vertue of it; and delith the housis of it, that &yogh;ee telle out in an other progenye. 15   For this is God, oure God, in to withoute ende, and in to the world of world; he shal gouerne vs in to worldis.
