The V. Chapter.
A And I sawe in the right h&obar;de of him,
note that sat in the trone, a boke wrytten
with in ∧ on the backside, sealed with
seu&ebar; seales. And I sawe a str&obar;ge angell preachinge
with a loude voyce: Who is worthy
to open the boke, and to loose the seales therof?
And no m&abar; in heau&ebar; ner in earth, nether
vnder þe; earth, was able to op&ebar; þe; boke, nether
to loke thereon. And I wepte moch, because
no man was founde worthy to open and
to rede the boke, nether to loke thereon.
And one of the elders sayde vnto me: wepe
not: note Beholde, the lyon which is off the
trybe of Iuda, þe; rote of Dauid, hath obtayned
to op&ebar; the boke, and to lowse the seu&ebar; seales
therof. And I behelde, ∧ lo, in the myddes
of the seate, and of þe; foure beastes, and
in the myddes of þe; elders, stode a lambe as
though he had bene kylled, which had seuen
hornes and seu&ebar; eyes, which are the seu&ebar; spretes
of God, sent in to all the worlde. And he
came and toke the boke out of the right h&obar;de
of him that sat vpon the seate.
B And when he had taken the boke, the foure
beestes and the xxiiij. elders fell downe before
the lambe, hauinge harpes and golden
vialles full of odoures (which are þe; prayers
of the sayntes) and they songe a newe songe
saynge: thou art worthy to take the boke ∧
to op&ebar; the seales therof: for thou note wast kylled,
and hast redemed vs by thy bloud, out of
all kynreddes, and t&obar;ges, and people, and nacions,
∧ hast made vs vnto o&highr; God, kynges
and prestes, and we shal raygne on þe; earth.
noteAnd I behelde, and I herd the voyce of
many angilles aboute the trone, and aboute
the beestes and þe; elders, and I herde thousand
thousandes, sayenge with a loude voyce:
Worthy is the lambe that was killed, to
receaue power, and riches ∧ wi&esset;dome, and
strength, and honoure and glory, and blessynge.
And all creatures, which are in heau&ebar;, ∧
on the earth, ∧ vnder the earth, ∧ in the see, ∧
all þt; are in th&ebar;, herd I sayenge: blessinge, honoure,
glory, ∧ power, be vnto him, þt; sytteth
vp&obar; the seate, and vnto the l&abar;be for euermore.
And the foure beestes saide: Am&ebar;. And þe;
xxiiij. elders fell vpon their faces, and worshipped
him that lyueth for euermore.
