A   And Moses spake vnto the rulers of the trybes of the children of Israel, and saide: This is that the LORDE hath comma&ubar;ded: ^note Yf eny man make a vowe vnto the LORDE, or sweare an ooth, so that he binde his soule, he shal not breake his worde, but do all that is proceaded out of his mouth.

Yf a damsell make a vowe vnto þe; LORDE, and bynde hirself, whyle she is in hir fathers house, and vnmaried, and hir vowe or bonde that she maketh ouer hir soule, commeth to hir fathers eares, ∧ he holde his

peace therto, th&ebar; all hir vowes ∧ bondes þt; she hath bo&ubar;de hir self withall ouer hir soule, shal st&obar;de in effecte. But yf hir father forbyd her þe; same daye that he heareth it, th&ebar; shal no vowe ner bonde that she hath bounde hir self withall ouer hir soule, be of vayle. And the LORDE shalbe mercifull vnto her, for so moch as hir father forbad her.

B   Yf she haue an hu&esset;bande, ∧ hath a vowe vpon her, or yf she haue letten go out of hir lippes a b&obar;de ouer hir soule, ∧ hir hu&esset;bande heare it, ∧ holdeth his peace ther at, the same daye that he heareth it, then hir vowe ∧ bonde wherwith she hath bo&ubar;de hir self ouer hir soule, shal stonde in effecte. But yf hir hu&esset;bande forbyd her the same daye that he heareth it, th&ebar; is the vowe lowse þt; she hath vp&obar; hir, ∧ the bonde also that she hath letten go out of hir lippes ouer hir soule, and the LORDE shalbe gracious vnto her.

The vowe of a wyddowe, ∧ of her þt; is deuorced, all þt; she byndeth hir self withall ouer hir soule, shal stonde in effecte vp&obar; her.

C   Yf she vowe in hir hu&esset;b&abar;des house, or binde hir self &wt; an ooth ouer hir soule, ∧ hir husbande heare it, ∧ holde his peace therto, and forbyddeth it not, th&ebar; shal all þe; same vowe, ∧ all þt; she hath bo&ubar;de hir self &wt; all ouer hir soule, st&obar;de &ibar; effecte. But yf hir hu&esset;b&abar;de disanulle it, þe; same daye þt; he heareth it, th&ebar; is it of no value þt; is proceaded out of hir lippes, which she hath vowed or bo&ubar;de ouer hir soule: for hir hu&esset;b&abar;de hath made it lowse, ∧ the LORDE shalbe gracious vnto her. And all vowes ∧ oothes þt; bynde to humble þe; soule, maie hir hu&esset;b&abar;de stablish or breake, thus: Yf he holde his peace therto fr&obar; one daie to another, then stablisheth he all hir vowes ∧ bondes, þt; she hath vpon her, because he helde his peace, the same daye þt; he herde th&ebar;. But yf he disanulle th&ebar; after þt; he hath herde th&ebar;, then shal he take awaie hir mi&esset;dede.

These are the statutes þt; the LORDE c&obar;maunded Moses betwene a man ∧ his wife, ∧ betwene the father ∧ his doughter, whyle she is yet a damsell in hir fathers house.
