A   Verely verely I saye vnto you: He þt; entreth not in at the dore in to the shepefolde, but clymmeth vp some other waye, the same is a thefe ∧ a murthurer. But he that goeth in at the dore, is the shepherde of the shepe: to him þe; porter openeth, and the shepe heare his voyce, and he ^note calleth his awne shepe by name, and ledeth them out. And whan he hath sent forth his awne shepe, he goeth before them, and the shepe folowe him: for they knowe his voyce. As for a straunger, they folowe him not, but flye from him: for they knowe not the voyce of straungers. This prouerbe spake Iesus vnto them, but they vnderstode not what it was, that he sayde vnto them.

Then sayde Iesus vnto them agayne: Verely verely I saye vnto you: ^note I am the dore of the shepe. All they that are come before me, are theues and murthures. But þe; shepe harkened not vnto them. I am the dore. Yf eny man entre in by me, he shalbe saued, and shal go in and out, and fynde pasture, A thefe c&obar;meth not, but for to steale, kyll, and destroye. I am come, þt; they might haue life, and haue it more abundauntly.

B    ^noteI am a good shepherde. A good shepherde geueth his life for the shepe. But an hyred seruaunt, which is not the shepherde, nether the shepe are his awne, seyth þe; wolfe c&obar;mynge, and leaueth þe; shepe, and flyeth. And the wolfe catcheth ∧ scatereth þe; shepe. But the hyred serua&ubar;t flyeth, because he is an hyred seruaunte, and careth not for the shepe. I am a good sheperde, ^note and knowe myne, and am knowne of myne. Eu&ebar; as my father knoweth me, and I knowe þe; father. And ^note I geue my life for my shepe. And I haue yet other shepe, which are not of this folde, and those same must I brynge also, and they shal heare my voyce, and there shalbe one flocke and one shepherde.

Therfore doth my father loue me, because I leaue my life, that I maye take it agayue. Nom&abar; taketh it fro me, but I leaue it of myself. I haue power to leaue it, and haue power to take it agayne. This commaundement haue I receaued of my father. Then was there discension am&obar;ge the Iewes for these sayenges. Many of th&ebar; sayde: ^note He hath the deuell, and is madd, why heare ye him? Other sayde: ^note These are not wordes of one that is possessed. Can the deuell also open þe; eyes of the blynde?

C   It was the dedicacion of the t&ebar;ple at Ierusal&ebar;, ∧ was wynter, and Iesus walked in ^note Salom&obar;s porche. Th&ebar; came þe; Iewes rounde aboute h&ibar;, ∧ saide vnto h&ibar;: How l&obar;ge dost thou make vs doute? Yf thou be Christ, tell vs planely. Iesus answered th&ebar;: I tolde you, ∧ ye beleue not. The workes þt; I do in my fathers name, they beare wytnesse of me. But ye beleue not, because ye are not of my shepe as I sayde vnto you. My shepe heare my voyce, ∧ I knowe th&ebar;, ∧ they folowe me. And I geue th&ebar; euerlastinge life, ∧ they shal neuer perishe, and nom&abar; shal plucke th&ebar; out of my hande. My father which gaue th&ebar; me, is greater th&ebar; all: ∧ noman is able to plucke

them out of my fathers hande. ^noteI and the father are one. Then the Iewes toke vp stones agayne, to stone him. Iesus answered th&ebar;: Many good workes haue I shewed you fro my father, for which of th&ebar; stone ye me?

D   The Iewes answered h&ibar;, and sayde: For the good worke sake we stone the not, ^note but for the blasphemy: and because þt; thou beynge a man, makest thyself God. Iesus answered th&ebar;: Is it not wrytten in youre lawe: ^note I haue sayde, Ye are Goddes? Yf he call them Goddes, vnto whom the worde of God came (∧ the scripture can not be brok&ebar;) saye ye th&ebar; vnto h&ibar;, wh&obar; þe; father hath sanctified ∧ sent in to þe; worlde: ^note thou blasphemest God, because I sayde: I am þe; sonne of God? ^noteYf I do not þe; workes of my father, beleue me not: but yf I do th&ebar;, th&ebar; (yf ye beleue not me) yet beleue þe; workes, þt; ye maye knowe ∧ beleue, þt; the father is in me, ∧ I in þe; father.

^noteThey wente aboute agayne to take him, but he escaped out of their h&abar;des, and w&ebar;te awaye agayne bey&obar;de Iordane, into þe; place ^note where Ih&obar; had baptysed before, ∧ there he abode. And many came to h&ibar;, and sayde: Ih&obar; dyd no tok&ebar;s, but all þt; Ihon spake of this man, is true. And many beleued on him there.
