The XXXVI. A psalme of Dauid.

A   Frett not thy self at the vngodly, be not thou envious agaynst the euell doers. For they shall soone be cut downe like þe; grasse, note ∧ be wythered euen as þe; grene herbe. Put thou thy trust in þe; LORDE, note∧ be doinge good: so shalt thou dwell in the londe, ∧ verely it shal fede the. Delyte thou in the LORDE, ∧ he shal geue the thy hertes desyre. noteC&obar;mitte thy waye vnto þe; LORDE, set thy hope in him, and he shal brynge it to passe. Yee he shall make thy rightuousnesse as cleare as the light, ∧ thy iust dealinge as the noone daye. Holde the still in þe; LORDE, and abyde paci&ebar;tly vpon him: but greue not thy self at one that hath prosperite, and lyueth in abhominacion. Leaue of from wrath, let go displeasure, let not thy gelousy moue the also to do euell. B   For wicked doers shal be roted out, but they that paci&ebar;tly abyde the LORDE, shal enheret the londe.

Suffre yet a litle whyle, ∧ þe; vngodly shalbe clene gone: thou shalt loke after his place, ∧ he shal be awaye. noteBut the meke spreted shal possesse the earth, ∧ haue pleasure in moch rest. The vngodly layeth wayte for the iust, ∧ gna&esset;sheth vpon him &wt; his tethe.

noteBut þe; LORDE laugheth him to scorne, for he seith þt; his daye is c&obar;minge. The vngodly drawe out the swerde ∧ bende their bowe, to cast downe þe; symple ∧ poore, and to slaye soch as go þe; right waye. Neuertheles, their swerde shal go thorow their owne hert, and their bowe shalbe brok&ebar;. noteA small thinge þt; the rightuous hath, is better then greate riches of the vngodly. For the armes of þe; vngodly shalbe broken, but the LORDE vpholdeth the rightuous. C   The LORDE knoweth the dayes of the godly, ∧ their enherita&ubar;ce shal endure for euer. They shal not be c&obar;founded in þe; perlous tyme, ∧ in þe; dayes of derth they shall haue ynough. As for þe; vngodly, they shall perishe: ∧ wh&ebar; þe; enemies of þe; LORDE are in their floures, they shal c&obar;sume, yee euen as the smoke shal they c&obar;sume awaye. The vngodly note boroweth and paieth not agayne, but the rightuous is mercifull ∧ liberall. Soch as be blessed of him, shal possesse the londe: ∧ they whom he curseth, shalbe roted out. The LORDE ordreth a good mans goinge, ∧ hath pleasure in his waye. D   Though he fall, he shal not be hurte, for the LORDE vpholdeth him &wt; his h&abar;de. I haue bene yonge, ∧ now am olde: note yet sawe I neuer the rightuous forsak&ebar;, ner his sede to seke their bred. The rightuous is euer mercifull, ∧ l&ebar;deth g&ebar;tly, therfore shal his sede be blessed. Fle fr&obar; euell, ∧ do þe; thinge that is good, so shalt thou dwell for euer.

For þe; LORDE loueth þe; thinge þt; is right, he forsaketh not his sayntes, but they shal be preserued for euermore: as for the sede of the vngodly, it shalbe roted out. Yee the rightuous shal possesse þe; l&obar;de, ∧ dwell therin for euer. noteThe mouth of the rightuous is exercised in wy&esset;dome, ∧ his t&obar;ge talketh of iudgment. The lawe of his God is in his hert, therfore shal not his fotesteppes slyde. The vngodly seyth the rightuous, ∧ goeth aboute to slaye him. But the LORDE wil not leaue him in his h&obar;des, ner c&obar;demne him when he is iudged. E   Hope thou in the LORDE, ∧ kepe his waye: ∧ he shal so promote the, that thou shalt haue the l&obar;de by enherita&ubar;ce, ∧ se, when the vngodly shall perishe. I myself haue sene the vngodly in greate power, ∧ florishinge like a grene baye tre: but when I wente by, lo, he was gone: I sought him, but he coude no where be founde.

-- --

Kepe innocency, and take hede vnto the thinge that is right, for that shall brynge a man peace at the last. As for the tr&abar;sgressours, they shal perishe together, and the vngodly shal be roted out at þe; last. The helpe of the rightuous commeth of the LORDE, he is their strength in the tyme of trouble. The LORDE shal st&obar;de by them, and saue them: he shal delyuer them from the vngodly, and helpe th&ebar;, because they put their trust in him.
