1 Poul forsoth biholdinge in to the counseil,
seith, Men bretheren, I with al good
conscience haue lyued bifore God, til into

Poul `witinge, for o party was of Saducees,

9 Sothli a
greet cry is maad. And summe of Pharisees

thee.
19 Sothli the tribune takinge his
hond, wente with him a sydis half, and
axide him, What thing is it, that thou
hast to schewe to me?
20 Forsoth he seide,
It bifallith to the Jewis for to preie
thee, that to morwe day thou bringe forth

sekinge sum thing certeynere.
21 Sothli
bileue thou not to hem; forsothe more
than fourty men of hem aspien him, the
whiche han avowid, `hem for to not ete

the day suynge, `the horsmen left, that
