Jubiter, that was bifore the citee, bryngynge to bolis and crownes bifore the &yogh;atis, with peplis, wolde make sacrifice. 13   The which thing whanne apostlis, Barnabas and Poul, herden, `her cootis kitt to gidere, thei scipten out into the cumpanyes, `cryinge, 14   and seiynge, Men, what don &yogh;e this thing? and we ben deedly `men lyk to &yogh;ou, schewinge to &yogh;ou, `for to be conuertid fro these veyne thingis to quyk God, that made heuene, and erthe, and the see, and alle thingis that ben in hem; 15   the which in generaciouns passid lefte alle folkis entre into her weyes. 16   And sotheli not withoute witnessyng he `wel doynge lefte hym silf, fro heuene &yogh;yuynge reynes and tymis beringe fruyt, fulfillinge with mete and gladnesse &yogh;oure hertis. 17   And thei seyinge thes thingis, vnnethe swagiden the cumpanyes, that thei offriden not to hem. 18   Forsothe summe Jewis camen out fro Antiochie and Iconye, and, the cumpanyes sweteli `stirid, thei stoonynge Poul, drowen out of the citee, gessinge `him for to be deed. 19   Sothli disciplis enuyrownynge hym, he rysinge entride into the citee; and the suynge day he wente forth with Barnabas into Derben. 20   And whanne thei hadden euangelysid to `the ilke citee, and tau&yogh;t manye, thei turneden a&yogh;en to Listris, and Iconye, and Antiochie; confermynge the soulis of disciplis, 21   and monesting, that thei schulden dwelle in feith, and seiynge, For by manye tribulaciouns it bihoueth vs for to entre into the kingdom of heuenes. 22   And whanne thei hadden ordeyned prestis to hem by alle citees, and hadden preied with fastingis, thei bitoken hem to the Lord, into whom thei bileuyden. 23   And thei passinge
