1 And the Lord spak to Moyses, seiynge,
Speke to the sones of Yrael,
2 and thow
shalt seie to hem,
3 Y am the Lord &yogh;oure
God; after the custome of the loond of
Egipte, in the which &yogh;e han dwellid, &yogh;e
shulen not doo; after the maner of the
regioun of Chanaan, to the whiche Y am

4 &YOGH;e shulen doo my domes, and the

18 The sister of thi wijf into liggyn

19 To
the womman that suffreth flux of blood
thow shalt not goo, ne opne the stynkyngnes
of hir.
20 With the wijf of thi
nei&yogh;bore thow shalt not goo togidir, ne
with mengyng togidere of seede thow
shalt `be defoulid.
21 Of thi seede thow
shalt not &yogh;yue, that it be sacryd to the
mawmet of Moloch, ne thow shalt defowle
the name of thi God; Y a Lord.
22 With a maal thow shalt not be mengid,

for abhomynacioun it is.
23 With
alle beestis thow shalt not goo to gidere,

24 Ne be &yogh;e polut in alle thes thinges,
with the whiche alle gentilis ben defoulid,
that Y shal throwe out before &yogh;oure
si&yogh;t,
25 of whom the erthe is polut, whos
hidows synnes Y shal visite, that it caste
out his dwellers.
26 Kepe &yogh;e my lawes and
my domes, that &yogh;e do not of alle thes
abomynaciouns, as wel the with ynne
gotun as the dwellers that pilgrymagen
anentis &yogh;ow.
27 Alle forsothe thes cursidnessis
diden the tiliers of the erthe that
weren bifore &yogh;ow, and polutide it.
28 Shoneth
therfor, lest and also &yogh;ow it caste out,
whanne the same thinges &yogh;e doon, as it
keste out folk that was before &yogh;ow.
29 Eche
lijf that doth of thes abomynaciouns eny
thing, shal perisch fro the myddil of his
puple.
30 Kepe &yogh;e myn heestis, and wole
&yogh;e not doo thingis that diden thes that
