1   And God blisside to Noe, and to the sonys of hym, and seide to hem, Growe &yogh;e, and be &yogh;e multiplied, and fulfillith the erthe; 2   and &yogh;oure feer and &yogh;oure tremblyng be vpon alle the beestis of erthe, and vpon alle fowlis of heuene, with alle that ben moued in erthe; alle fishes of the see ben takun to &yogh;oure honde. 3   And al that is meued and lyueth shal be to &yogh;ow into meet; as green wortis I haue takun to &yogh;ow alle thingis, 4   out takun that flehs with blood &yogh;e shulen not ete, 5   blood forsothe of &yogh;owre sowles I shal requyre of the honde of alle beestis and of the honde of man, of the honde of man and of the brothir of hym I shal requyre the soule of man. 6   Who so euer shal sheed mannus blood, the blood of hym shal be shed; to the ymage forsothe of God man is maad. 7   &YOGH;e forsothe growith, and be &yogh;e multiplied, and go &yogh;e in vpon the erthe, and fulfille &yogh;e it. 8   Thes thingis forsothe the Lord seide to Noe, and to his sonys with hym, Se! 9   I shal make stable my couenaunt with &yogh;ou, and with &yogh;our seed after &yogh;ou, 10   and to alle soule lyuynge that is with &yogh;ou, as wel in foulis as in iumentis and in beestis of the erthe, and in alle that ben gon out of the arke, and in alle beestis of the erthe. 11   I shal make stable my couenaunt with &yogh;ou, and no more al flesh shal be slayn of the watris of the flood, ne shal herafter be a flood scaterynge al erthes. 12   And God seide, This signe of couenaunt of pees Y &yogh;eue bitwix me and &yogh;ou, and to al

soule lyuynge that is with &yogh;ou, in to euerlastinge generaciouns. 13   Y shal sette my bow in the clowdis, and the signe of couenant of pees shal be bitwix me and the erthe; 14   and whan Y shal ouerhelde the heuen with clowdis, my bow shal apere in the clowdis, 15   and I shal recorde of my couenaunt of pees that Y couenantide with &yogh;ou, and with alle soulis lyuynge that quikeneth flesh; and there shal be no more watris of flood to al flesh to be don awei. 16   And my bow shal be in the clowdes, and I shal se it, and Y shal recorde of the euerlastynge boond of pees, that is couenauntid bitwix God and alle soule lyuynge of al flehs that is vpon the erthe. 17   And God seide to Noe, This shal be tokne of the bonde of pees, that I haue ordeyned bitwix me and al flehs vpon erthe. 18   Weren thanne the sonys of Noe that ben gon out of the arke, Sem, Cam, and Japheth; Cam forsothe, he is the fader of Chanaan. 19   Thes thre ben the sones of Noe, and of thes it is out sedid al the kynde of men vpon al erthe. 20   And Noe, a man erthe tylyer, bigan to excersise the erthe, and he plauntid a vyne, and drynkynge wyn was drunkun, 21   and nakid he lay in his tabernacle. 22   The which whan Cham, the fader of Chanaan, had seen, that is, the priuey herneis of his fader to be nakid, he tolde it to his two britheren with out. 23   And forsothe Sem and Japheth putten a mantel vpon her shulderis, and goynge in bacward couereden the priuy harneis of her fader, and the faces of hem weren turned awey, and the mannus harneys of the fader thei sawen not. 24   Noe forsothe wakynge of the wyn, whan he had lerned the thingis that his &yogh;onger sone dide to hym, 25   seith, Curside child Chanaan, thral of alle thrallis he shal be to his britheren. 26   And he seide, Blissid be the Lord God of Sem, be Chanaan his seruaunt; 27   God sprede abrood Japheth, and dwel he in the tabernaclis

of Sem, and Chanaan be the thral of hym. 28   Noe forsothe lyuede after the flood thre hundrid and fifti wynter; 29   and alle the daies of hym ben fulfilled of nyne hundrid and fifti &yogh;eer, and deed he is.
