slee the beestis of sacrifice, and ordeyne a
feeste; for with me thei ben to etun to
day.
17 And he dide as it was comaundid,

thei agast seiden to gideres, For the money
that we brou&yogh;ten bifore in oure sackis we
ben lad yn, that chalengyng he turne in
vs, and violently sugette to thraldom and

20 we preyen thee, that thow

we biggen meetis;

Joseph shulde come yn at mydday, thei

cam into his hows, and thei holdynge
&yogh;iftis in her hondis, offerden to hym, and
lowtiden bowid into the erthe.
27 And he
goodly hem a&yogh;en salutid, askide hem, seiynge,

of whom &yogh;e spaken to me? &yogh;it lyueth

28 The whiche answerden, He ys al hool,
thi seruaunt oure fader &yogh;it lyueth; and
thei bowid lowtiden hym.
29 And Joseph
heuynge vp the eyen, saw&yogh; Beniamyn,
his brother of o wombe, and seith, This
is &yogh;oure litil brother, of whom &yogh;e speken
to me? And eft, God, he seith, haue
mercy of thee, sone myne.
30 And he
hi&yogh;ede into the hows, for the entrayls of
hym weren moued vpon his brother, and
teeris bristen oute, and he, goynge in to
the bed place, wepte.
31 And eft his face
waishun, goon oute, stillide hym self, and
seith, Settith looues.
32 The whiche sett
forth, Joseph bi hym self, and the britheren
bi hem seluen, and the Egipciens
togideres eetun bi hem seluen; forsothe
it is vnleueful to Egipciens to etun with
