1 The parablis of Salamon, sone of Dauid,
king of Irael;
2 to ben koud wisdam,
and discipline;
3 to ben vnderstonden the

4 that felnesse be

6 Take he heede the parable, and the remenyng;
the woordis of wise men, and

counseil; and my blamyngis &yogh;ee ro&yogh;ten
not of.
26 I forsothe in &yogh;oure deth shal
law&yogh;he; and vndermouwe &yogh;ou, whan to
&yogh;ou that, that &yogh;ee dredden, shal come.
27 Whan shal falle feerli wrecchidnesse, and
deth as tempest shal a&yogh;en come; whan
shal come vp on &yogh;ou tribulacioun and anguysh.
28 Thanne thei shul inwardli clepe
me, and I shal not ful out heren; erly
they shuln rise togidere, and not finde
me.
29 For thi that hatesum thei hadden
disciplyne, and the drede of the Lord
thei vndertoken not,
30 ne assentiden to my
counseil, and bacbitiden to al my correccioun.
31 Thei shuln ete therfore the frutis
of ther weie; and with ther counseilis
thei shul be fulfild.
32 The turning awei

prosperite of foolis shal leesen hem.

forsothe me shal heren, withoute ferd shal
