of Irael weren eche in his owne thingus,

48 And stondende Jesus, the sone of Josedech,
and his brether, prestis, and Sorobabel,

man of God, ben writen.
50 And ther
camen to hem of othere naciouns of the
lond, and rereden the holi tresorie in his
place, alle the folc of the lond; and thei
offriden ostis, and morutide brent sacrifises
to the Lord.
51 And thei diden the
feste of tabernaclis, and a solempne dai,
as it is write in the lawe, and sacrifises

caitifte in to Jerusalem;
57 and foundeden
the temple of God, in the newe mone of
the secunde moneth of the secunde &yogh;er,
whan thei hadde comen in to Jude and
Jerusalem;
58 and setten Leuitus fro twenti
&yogh;er vpon the werkis of the Lord. And
Jesus stod, his sone, and brethern, alle
Leuitus togidere castende, and foleweris
out of the lawe, and doende werkis in
the hous of the Lord.
59 And ther stoden
prestys, hauende stolis, with trumpis,
and Leuitus, the sonus of Asaf, hauende
cymbalis,
60 togidere preisende the Lord,
and blessende, aftir Dauid, king of Irael.
61 And thei sungen a song to the Lord, for
his swetnesse and wrshipe in to worldis
vp on al Irael.
62 And al the puple with
trumpe sungen, and crieden with gret
vois, preisende togidere the Lord, in the
rering of the hous of the Lord.
63 And
ther camen of prestus, and of Leuitus,
and of presidentus aftir the tounus, to
the elders that hadden seen the rathere
hous,
64 and at the bilding vp of this, with
cri, and with gret weiling; and manye
with trumpis,
65 and gret io&yogh;e, so that

the weiling of the puple. Forsothe a

trumpe, so that afer it was herd.
66 And
the enemis herden the linagis of Juda
and of Beniamyn, and camen to wite,

God of Irael.

and to Jesu, and to the prouostis

wee han herd of oure Lord, and we togidere

hennus.
70 And seide to hem Sorobabel,
and Jesue, and the princis of the tounus
of Irael,

bilden vp the hous of oure God; we forsothe

God, aftir thoo thingus, that Cirus, king
of Persis, comaundede.
72 The Jentilis forsothe

73 and letteden the men, hauntende the
goingus to, that the bilding shulde not
