In thys Epystle S. Paule sheweth a godlye ensample of christen loue. Herein we se howe Paule taketh pore Onesimos vnto hym ∧ maketh intercession for hym vnto hys mayster and healpeth hym wyth all that he maye, and behaueth him selfe none other wyse then as though he hym self were the sayde Onesimos. Which thyng yet he doeth not with power and authoritie, as he wel mighte haue done, but putteth of all authoritie and whatsoeuer he myght of ryght do, that Philem&obar; myght do lykewyse towarde Onesimos, ∧ with great mekenes ∧ wisdom teacheth Philemon to se his dutye in Christe Iesus. ¶ The Epistle of Saynct Paule vnto Phylemon.
