As the Epistle to the Galathians holdeth the maner and fashyon of the Epistle to the Romayns, briefly comprehendinge all that is therin at l&ebar;gh disputed: Euen so this Epistle foloweth the ensample of the Epistle to the Ephesyans, contayninge the tenoure of the same Epistle wyth fewer wordes.

In the fyrste Chapter, he prayseth them, and wysheth that they continue in the fayth, and growe perfecter therin, and then described he the Gospel howe that it is a wysdome that confesseth Christ, to be the Lorde and God, crucifyed for vs, and a wysdome, that hath bene hyd in Christ sence afore the beginninge of the worlde, and now fyrste begon to be opened thorowe the preachynge of the Apostles.

In the seconde, he warneth them of mennes doctrine, and describeth the false prophetes to the vttermoste, and rebuketh them accordinglye.

In the thyrd he exhorteth to be frutefull in the pure fayth wyth al maner of good workes one to another, and describeth all degrees and what theyr duties are.

In the fourth he exhorteth to praye, and also to praye for hym, and saluteth them. The Epistle of Saynct Paul the Apostle vnto the Colossians.
