A perfect supputacyon of the yeares ∧ tyme from Adam vnto Christe, proued by the Scryptures, after the Colleccyon of dyuers Authours, by Edmund becke. ¶ The summe of the yeares of the fyrste age.

From Adam vnto Noes floude are a M.cccccc.lvi.yeares.

For when Adam was .C.xxx. yeares olde, he begat Sethe.

Seth beyng C.v. yeares, begat Enos.

Enos beynge .xc. yeares, begat Caynan.

Caynan beyng .lxx. yeares begat Malalehel.

noteMalalehel beyng .lxvi. yeares begat Iared.

Iared at the age of .Clx. yeares begat Enoch

Enoch being .lxv. yeares begat Mathusaleth

noteMathusaleth at hys age of .Clxxxvij. yeares begat Lamech.

Lamech beyng Clxxxij. yeares begat Noe.

Noe at the c&obar;minge of the deluge or mayne floude was .cccccc. yeares olde, as apeareth in the .v. of Genesis. ¶ The whole s&ubar;me of the yeares are a .M.CCCCCC.lvi.

From the sayd deluge or floud of Noe vnto Abraham departed fr&obar; Chalde were .ccclxiij. yeares and ten dayes. For þe; sayd floud contynued one whole yeare ∧ ten dayes. note

From Abrahams departing from Vr in Chalde vnto the departinge also of the childr&ebar; of Israel are .cccc.xxx. yeares, gathered as foloweth.

Amram beinge .lxv. yeares begat Moyses who in his .lxxx. yeare of his age departed with the Israelites from Egypte. ¶ So after this supputacyon these are the .CCCC. ∧ .xxx. yeares mencioned in the .xij. of Exodi, ∧ the .iij. of the Galathyans.

From the going of the Israelytes fr&obar; Egypt vnto the first buylding of the t&ebar;ple are .cccc.lxxx. yeares after thys supputacyon ∧ accompt

From the first buylding of the temple vnto the captiuite of Babil&obar; are .cccc. xix. yeares ∧ a halfe.

Ierusalem was reedifyed ∧ buylded agayne after the captiuite of Babylon a hundreth .xliij. yeares.

noteThe captiuite contynued .lxx. yeares.

noteThe children of Israel were delyuered ∧ restored to theyr fredom in the fyrst year of Cyrus.

noteThe temple was begonne to be buylded in þe; ij. yeare of the sayde Cyrus, ∧ fynyshed in the xlvi. yeare, which was þe; sixt year of Darius After that Darius had raygned .xx. yeares. noteNehemias was restoreed to libertye, ∧ went

From the reedifyinge of the cytye vnto the comminge of Christe are .cccc. lxxxiij. yeares, after thys supputaci&obar; or numbrynge.

It is mencyoned in the .ix. of Daniel, that Ierusalem shulde be buylde vp agayne, and that, from that tyme, vnto the comminge of Christe are .lxvij. weekes, and euerye weeke is rekened for seu&ebar; yeares. noteSo .lxvij. weekes a mounte to foure hundreth .lxxxiij. yeares. noteFor from the .xxxij. yeare of Darius vnto the .xlij. yeare of Augustus, in the whyche yeare oure Sauyoure Christe was borne, are iust and complete so manye yeares, where vpon we recken, that from Adam vnto Christ are thre thousand, ix. hundreth .lxxiiij. and vi. monethes and ten dayes. And from þe; byrthe of Christe vnto thys presente yeare is .M. D.xlix. And the whole summe and nombre of yeares from the begynnynge of the worlde vnto thys presente yeare of oure Lorde God a thousande .v. hundreth .xlix. are iust .v. thousande v. hundreth, and .xxiij. yeare vi. monethes, and the sayde odde ten dayes.
