   1    ^note Show me favour, ^note O God, and save me;
  hasten to help me, O Lord.
   2   Let all who seek my life be brought to shame and dismay,
let all who love to hurt me shrink back disgraced;
   3   let those who cry ‘Hurrah!’ at my downfall ^note
  turn back at the shame they incur,
     4   but let all who seek thee
    be jubilant and rejoice in thee,
  and let those who long for thy saving help ever cry,
    ‘All glory to God!’

   5   But I am poor and needy;
    O God, hasten to my aid.
  Thou art my help, my salvation;
    O Lord, make no delay.
