1   Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but stands fast for ever.
2   As the hills enfold Jerusalem,
so the Lord enfolds his people, now and evermore.
3   The sceptre of wickedness shall surely find no home
in the land allotted to the righteous,
so that the righteous shall not set
    their hands to injustice.

Book 5
4   Do good, O Lord, to those who are good
and to those who are upright in heart.
5   But those who turn aside into crooked ways,
may the Lord destroy them, as he destroys all evildoers!

    Peace be upon Israel!
