They were heads of their families and able men; the number registered was twenty-two thousand and thirty-four. 8   The sons of Becher: Zemira, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abiah, Anathoth and Alemeth; all these were sons of Becher according to their tribal lists, 9   heads of their families and able men; and the number registered was twenty thousand two hundred. 10   The son of Jediael: Bilhan. The sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish and Ahishahar. 11   All these were descendants of Jediael, heads of ^note families and able men. The number was seventeen thousand two hundred men, fit for active service in war.

13   The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, Shallum. These were sons of Bilhah.

14    ^noteThe sons of Manasseh, ^note born of his concubine, an Aramaean: Machir father of Gilead. 15   Machir married a woman whose name was ^note Maacah. The second son was named Zelophehad, and Zelophehad had daughters. ^note 16   Maacah wife of Machir had a son whom she named Peresh. His brother's name was Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rakem. 17   The son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead son of Machir, son of Manasseh. 18   His sister Hammoleketh was the mother of Ishhod, Abiezer and Mahalah. 19   The sons of Shemida: Ahian, Shechem, Likhi and Aniam.

20   The sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah, his son Bered, his son Tahath, his son Eladah, 21   his son Tahath, his son Zabad, his son Shuthelah. 30   The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi and Beriah, together with their sister Serah. 31   The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel father of Birzavith. 32   Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, Hotham, and their sister Shua. 33   The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimhal and Ashvath. These were the sons of Japhlet. 34   The sons of Shomer: Ahi, Rohgah, Jehubbah and Aram. 35   The sons of his brother Hotham: ^note Zophah, Imna, Shelesh and Amal. 36   The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah, Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran and Beera. 37    38   The sons of Jether: Jephunneh, Pispah and Ara. 39   The sons of Ulla: Arah, Haniel and Rezia. 40   All these were descendants of Asher, heads of families, picked men of ability, leading princes. They were enrolled among the fighting troops; the total number was twenty-six thousand men.
