PSAL. XXVIII. 1 Dauid prayeth earnestly against his enemies. 6 He blesseth God. 9 Hee prayeth for the people.

-- --

Gods power, and goodnesse. A Psalme of Dauid.

1
Vnto thee will I cry, O Lord, my rocke, be not silent to mee: note lest if thou be silent note to me, I become like them that goe downe into the pit.

2
Heare the voyce of my supplications, when I cry vnto thee: when I lift vp my handes note toward thy holy Oracle.

3
Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquitie: note which speake peace to their neighbors, but mischiefe is in their hearts.

4
Giue them according to their deedes, and according to the wickednes of their endeuours: giue them after the worke of their handes, render to them their desert.

5
Because they regard not the workes of the Lord, nor the operation of his hands, he shal destroy them, and not build them vp.

6
Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voyce of my supplications.

7
The Lord is my strength, and my shield, my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly reioyceth, and with my song will I praise him.

8
The Lord is note their strength, and hee is the note sauing strength of his Anointed.

9
Saue thy people, and blesse thine inheritance, note feede them also, and lift them vp for euer. 507
