PSAL. CXLII. Dauid sheweth that in his trouble, all his comfort was in prayer vnto God. note Maschil of Dauid; A prayer when he was in the caue.

1
I cried vnto the Lord with my voice: with my voice vnto the Lord did I make my supplication.

2
I powred out my complaint before him: I shewed before him my trouble.

3
When my spirit was ouerwhelmed within mee, then thou knewest my path: in the way wherein I walked, haue they priuily laid a snare for me.

4
noteI looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me, refuge note failed me: note no man cared for my soule.

5
I cried vnto thee, O Lord, I said, Thou art my refuge, and my portion in the land of the liuing.

6
Attend vnto my crie, for I am brought very low, deliuer mee from my persecuters: for they are stronger then I.

7
Bring my soule out of prison, that I may praise thy Name: the righteous shall compasse me about: for thou shalt deale bountifully with me. 621
