CHAP. II. 1 He setteth downe a platforme of his preaching, 4 which was base in respect of mans wisedome, 7. 13 but noble in respect of the spirituall power and efficacie, 14 and so concludeth that flesh and blood cannot rightly iudge thereof.

And note I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with note excellencie of woordes, or of wisedome, shewing vnto you the note testimonie of God.

For I note esteemed not to knowe any thing among you, saue Iesus Christ, and him crucified.

noteAnd I was among you in note weakenesse, and in feare, and in much trembling.

Neither stoode my woorde, and my preaching in the note entising speach of mans wisdom, note but in plaine note euidence of the Spirite and of power,

noteThat your faith should not be in the wisdome of men, but in the power of God.

noteAnd we speake wisedome among them that are note perfect: not the wisedome of this world, neither of the note princes of this world, which come to nought.

noteBut we speake the wisedome of God in a note mysterie, euen the hid wisedom, note which God had determined before the world, vnto our glory.

noteWhich none of the princes of this world hath knowen: for had they knowen it, they would not haue crucified the note Lord of glory.

-- --

The naturall man.

noteBut as it is written, note The thinges which eye hath not seene, neither eare hath heard, neither came into note mans heart, are, which God hath prepared for them that loue him.

noteBut God hath reueiled them vnto vs by his Spirit: for the spirit note searcheth all things, yea, the deepe things of God.

noteFor what man knoweth the things of a man, saue the note spirite of a man, which is in him? euen so the things of God knoweth no man, but the spirit of God.

Nowe we haue receiued not the note spirit of the world, but the Spirit, which is of God, note that we might note knowe the thinges that are giuen to vs of God.

noteWhich things also we speake, not in the note woordes which mans wisedome teacheth, but which the holy Ghost teacheth, note comparing spirituall things with spirituall things.

noteBut the note naturall man perceiueth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishnesse vnto him: neither can hee knowe them, because they are note spiritually discerned.

noteBut hee that is spirituall, note discerneth all things: yet note he himselfe is iudged of note no man.

note noteFor who hath knowen the minde of the Lorde, that hee might note instruct him? But we haue the note minde of Christ.
