11   And note Iosias begate Iakim. And Iakim note begate Iechonias and his brethren about the time they were caried away to Babylon.


12   And after they were caried away into Babylon, note Iechonias begate Salathiel. noteAnd Salathiel begate Zorobabel.


13   And Zorobabel begate Abiud. And Abiud begate Eliacim. And Eliacim begate Azor.


14   And Azor begate Sadoc. And Sadoc begate Achim. And Achim begate Eliud.


15   And Eliud begate Eleazar. And Eleazar begate Matthan. And Matthan begate Iacob.


16   And Iacob begat Ioseph þe; husb&abar;d of Mary, of whom was borne Iesvs, that is called Christ.


17   So note all the generations fr&obar; Abraham to Dauid, are fourtene generations. And fr&obar; Dauid vntil they were caried away into Babylon, fourtene generations: and after they were caried away into Babylon vntill Christ, fourteene generations.


18   ¶2; Nowe the birth of note Iesvs Christ was thus, When as his mother Mary was note betrothed to Ioseph, before they came together, shee was found with childe of the holy Ghost.


19   Then Ioseph her husbande being a iust man, and not willing to note make her a publike example, was minded to put her away secretly.


20   But whiles he thought these things, behold, the Angel of the Lorde appeared vnto him in a dreame, saying, Ioseph, the sonne of Dauid, feare not to note take Mary thy note wife: for that which is note conceiued in her, is of the holy Ghost. The wise men seeke Christ.


21   And she shall bring note foorth a sonne, and thou shalt note call his name Iesvs: for hee shall note note saue his people from their sinnes.


22   And al this was done þt; it might be fulfilled, which is spoken of the Lord by þe; Prophet, saying,


23    noteBehold, a note virgine shalbe with childe, and shall beare a sonne, & they shal call his name Emmanuel, which is by interpretation, God with vs.


24   ¶2; Then Ioseph, being raised from sleepe, did as the Angel of the Lorde had inioyned him, and tooke his wife.


25   But he knew her not, note til she had broght forth her first borne sonne, & he called his name Iesus.
