REFERENCES TO THE Classic Authors, &c.

Having promis'd a Reference to the Latin Poets on the Topics I have remark'd in Shakespear, I here comply with it as far as I am able; that is, as far, as His answer those, which have been touch'd on by the Ancients. But they not always concurring in the Term, I have put those together which agree most in Sense tho' perhaps not in Words. As those six Heads of Shakespear from Great Mens Abuse of Power, I put under Artes Aulicæ &c.
