Note return to page 1 Victor's comparatively conservative alteration of TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA was performed at Drury Lane in 1762 and 1763; this was the first time the play had been revived since the Renaissance. Shakespeare's original script would be revived in the 1780s.
