1 And whan he hadde openid the seuenthe
seel, silence is maad in heuen, as `half an
hour.
2 And I si&yogh;e seuen aungels stondinge
in the si&yogh;t of God, and seuen trumpes be
&yogh;ouun to hem.
3 And another aungel cam,
and stode bifore the auter, hauynge a
golden censer; and many encenses ben
&yogh;ouen to him, that he shulde &yogh;iue of the
preyers of alle seyntis vpon the golden
auter, that is bifore the trone.
4 And the
smoke of encensis of the preyers of halewis
sti&yogh;ede up of the aungelis hond
bifore God.
5 And the aungel toke the
censer, and fillide it of the fijr of the
auter, and sente it in to erthe. And

thundres, and voyces, and leytinges ben
maad, and greet `erthe mouyng.
6 And
the seuene aungelis, that hadden seuen
trumpes, maden hem redy, that thei shulden
synge in trumpe.
7 `And the first aungel
song in trumpe; and hayl is maad, and
fijr mengid to gydere `in blood; and it
is sent in to erthe. And the thridde
paart of erthe is brent, and the thridde
paart of trees is brent, and al greene `hay,
or gras, is brent.
8 And the secounde
aungel song in trumpe; and as a greet
hil brennyng with fijr is sent in to the
se; and the thridde paart of the se is maad
blood,
9 and the thridde paart of creatures
is deed, that hadden soules, `or lijfes, in
the se, and the thridde paart of shippis
perschide.
10 And the thridde aungel song
in trumpe; and a great sterre brennynge
as a litel bronde, fel fro heuen; and it fel
in to the thridde part of floodis, and in to
wellis of watris.
11 And the name of the
sterre is seid Wermod. And the thridde
part of watris is maad in to wermod;
and many men ben deede of the watris,
for `thei ben made bitter.
12 And the fourthe
aungel song in trumpe; and the thridde
paart of sunne is smytun, and the thridde
paart of the moone, and the thridde paart
of sterris, so that the thridde paart of hem
was derkid, and the thridde paart of day
shoone not, and also of ni&yogh;t.
13 And I
si&yogh;e, and herde the voys of an egle fleynge
bi mydle heuen, seiynge with greet
voys, Wo! wo! wo! to `the dwellinge
men in erthe, of othere voycis of thre
aungels, that weren to syngynge in
trumpe.
