1 And the Lord seide to Moyses and
Aaron, Thow, and thi sones, and the
hows of thi fader with thee, shal bere
the wickidnes of the seyntuarie; and thou
and thi sones togidere shulen suffre the
synnes of &yogh;oure preesthod.
2 But and thi

septre of thi fader tak with thee, and redi
be thei, and mynystre to thee. Thow forsothe
and thi sones shulen mynystre in
the tabernacle of witnessynge;
3 and the
Leuytes shulen wake to thin heestis, and
to alle the werkis of the tabernacle; so
oonlich that to vessels of the seyntuarie,
and to the auter thei comen not ny&yogh;, lest
and thei dien, and &yogh;e perishen togidre.
4 Be thei forsothe with thee, and waake
thei in the wardis of the tabernacle, and
in alle the cerymonyes of it. Of another
lynage shal not be meengid to &yogh;ow.
5 Wake &yogh;e into the waarde of the seyntuarye,
and in the seruyce of the auter, lest
indignacioun sprynge vpon the sones of
Yrael.
6 Y haue &yogh;yue to &yogh;ow the Leuytes
&yogh;oure britheren, fro the myddil of the
sones of Yrael, and I haue takun a &yogh;ift
to the Lord, that thei seruen in the seruyces
of his tabernacle.
7 Thow forsothe
and thi sones, kepe &yogh;e &yogh;oure presthod;
and alle thingis that to the heriynge of
the auter perteynen, and with ynne the
veil ben, bi the preestis shal be mynystred;
and if eny of other lynage come
ni&yogh;, he shal be slayn.
8 And the Lord
spak to Aaron, Loo! Y haue &yogh;yue to thee
kepynge of my cheef fruytis; alle thingis
that ben halowid of the sones of Yrael, to
thee I haue take, and to thi sones, for
the preestis office lawful euerlastynge.
9 Thes thingis thanne thow shalt take of
thes thingis that ben halowid, and offerd
to the Lord; al offrynge, and sacrifice,
and what euer thing for synne and for
trespas is &yogh;oldun to me, and fallith into
holy of halowis, thin shal ben, and of thi
sones.
10 In the seyntuarye thow shalt eete
it; maalis oonli shulen eete of it, for it
is sacryd to the Lord.
11 The cheef fruytis
forsothe that the sones of Yrael han

vowid and offred, Y haue &yogh;ouun to thee,
and to the sones, and thi dou&yogh;tres, bi
perpetuel ri&yogh;t; he that is clene in thin
hows, shal eete hem.
12 Al the mary of
oyle, and of wyne, and of whete, what
euer thing thei shulen offre of first fruytis
to the Lord, to thee Y haue &yogh;euen.
13 Alle
the bigynnyngis of fruytis that the erthe
getith, and to the Lord ben brou&yogh;t, thei
shulen falle into thin vsis; he that is
clene in thin hows, shal eete of hem.
14 Al
thing that of auowe the sones of Yrael
&yogh;euen, shal be thin.
15 What euer thing
firste shal breek out of the wombe of al
flesh, that thei offren to the Lord, whether
of men, or of beestis it were, of thi
ri&yogh;t shal be; so oonlich that for the first
getun of man prijs thow shalt take, and
al beeste that is vnclene, thou make be
a&yogh;en bou&yogh;t;
16 whos a&yogh;enbiggynge shal be
after o moneth, with fyue siclis of siluer,
bi peise of the seyntuarie; a sicle hath
twenti halpens.
17 The first goten forsothe
of oxe, and of sheep, and of shee goot,
thou shalt not maak be a&yogh;en bou&yogh;t, for
thei ben halowid to the Lord; oonli the
blood of hem thow shalt heelde vpon the
auter, and the talw&yogh; thow shalt brenne
into moost swete smel to the Lord.
18 The
flesh forsothe shal falle in to thin vse, as
the sacryd litil brest and the ri&yogh;t shulder,
shulen be thin.
19 Alle the firste fruytis of
the seyntuary, that the sones of Yrael
offren to the Lord, to thee I haue &yogh;eue,
and to thi sones and thi dow&yogh;tren, bi
perpetuel ri&yogh;t; the couenaunt of salt is
euer lastynge before the Lord, to thee,
and to thi sones.
20 And the Lord seide to
Aaron, In the loond of hem no thing &yogh;e
shulen weelde, ne &yogh;e shulen haue part
amonge hem; Y the part and thi herytage,

21 To the sones forsothe of Leuy Y haue
&yogh;yue alle the dymes of Yrael into possessioun,
for the seruyce that thei seruen to
me in the tabernacle of the boond of pees;
22 that the sones of Yrael comen nomore
ny&yogh; to the tabernacle of the boond of
pees, ne doo synne that bryngith yn
deeth,
23 oonly the sones of Leuy, to me
in the tabernacle seruynge, and berynge
the synnes of the puple; lawful euerlastynge
it shal be in &yogh;oure generaciouns.
24 Noon other thing thei shulen weelde, of
the offrynge of dymes payed, the whiche
into the vsis of hem and necessaries Y
haue seuerde.
25 And the Lord spak to
Moyses,
26 seiynge, Comaund to the Leuytes,
and tel out, Whanne &yogh;e taken
dymes of the sones of Yrael, that Y haue
&yogh;yue to &yogh;ow, the firste fruytis of hem
offre &yogh;e to the Lord, that is, the tenthe
part of the dyme,
27 that it be put to &yogh;ow
in the offrynge of the cheef thingis, as
wel of the flores as of the pressis;
28 and
of alle thingis of the whiche &yogh;e taken the
firste fruytis, offre &yogh;e to the Lord, and
&yogh;yue to Aaron, the preest.
29 Alle thingis
that &yogh;e offren of dymes, and into the &yogh;iftis
of the Lord &yogh;e shulen seuere, the best
and chosen alle shulen be.
30 And thow
shalt seye to hem, If the more clene and
the beter eche thingis &yogh;e offren to the
Lord of the dymes, it shal be put to &yogh;ow,
as of the flore and of the presse &yogh;e &yogh;euen
the firste fruytis.
31 And &yogh;e shulen eete
hem in alle &yogh;oure places, as wel &yogh;e as &yogh;oure
meyne, for prijs it is for the seruyce that
&yogh;e seruen in the tabernacle of witnessynge.
32 And &yogh;e shulen not synne vpon that,
the noble and the fatt to &yogh;ow reseruynge,
lest &yogh;e poluten the offrynge of the sones
of Yrael, and dyen.
