What therfore is Apollo, what forsoth Poul? 5   Thei ben mynistris, `or sernauntis, of him, to whom &yogh;e han bileuyd; and to ech man as God hath &yogh;ouun. If eny man a mong &yogh;ou is seyn for to be wyse in this world, be he maad a fool, that he be wyse. 19   Forsoth the wysdom of this world is foly anentis God; forsoth it is writun, I schal catche wyse men in her fell wysdom, 20   `or sutil gyle; and eft, The Lord `hath knowyn the thou&yogh;tis of wyse men, for thei ben veyn. 21   `And so no man glorie in men. 22   Forsoth alle thingis ben &yogh;oure, either Poul, either Apollo, eithir Cephas, `that is, Petre, eithir the world, either lyf, eithir deeth, either thingis present, eithir thingis to comynge; forsothe alle thingis ben &yogh;oure, &yogh;e forsoth of Crist, 23   Crist sotheli of God.
