11 What to me the multitude of &yogh;oure slayn
sacrifise? seith the Lord. Ful I am; the

of fatte bestus, and the blod of calues,
and of lombes, and off goet, I wolde not.
12 Whan &yogh;ee shulden come biforn my si&yogh;te,
who so&yogh;te these thingus of &yogh;oure hondis,
that &yogh;ee shulden go in my porches?
13 Ne
bringe &yogh;ee to more sacrifises in veyn;
encens abhominacioun is to me; the
newe moone, and sabot, and othere festus

14 Wicke ben &yogh;oure cumpanyes;

mad to me greuous, I trauailede suffrende.
15 And whan &yogh;ee shul strecche out
&yogh;oure hondis, I shal turne awei myn e&yogh;en
fro &yogh;ou; and whan &yogh;ee shul multeplien
orisoun, I shal not heren; forsothe &yogh;oure
hondis ben ful of blod.
16 Be &yogh;ee washen,
beth clene; taketh awei the euel of
&yogh;oure tho&yogh;tes fro myn e&yogh;en; resteth to do
shreudely, lerneth to do wel.
17 Secheth
dom, helpeth to the opressid, demeth to
the faderles child, defendeth the widewe.
18 And cometh, and vndernemeth mee, seith
the Lord. If &yogh;oure synnes weren as
flaume red silc, as sno&yogh; thei shuln ben
mad white; and if thei weren rede as
blod red silc, as whit wlle thei shul be.
19 If &yogh;ee wiln, and shuln heren me, the
goodis of the erthe &yogh;ee shuln ete.
20 That

faderles child thei demen not, the cause
of the widewe goth not in to them.
24 For
that, seith the Lord God of ostes, strong
of Irael, Allas! I shal be coumfortid vp
on my straunge enemys, and I shal be
vengid vp on myn enemys, that shulden
be frendis.
25 And I shal turne myn hond
to thee, and I shal sethen out to the
pure thi dros, and I shal taken awei al
thi tyn.
26 And I shal restoren thi domesmen,
as they weren biforn, and thi counseileris,
as bi old tyme. Aftir these
thingus thou shalt ben clepid the cite of
the ri&yogh;twis, the cheef citee of the feithful.
27 Syon in dom shal ben a&yogh;ee bo&yogh;t,
and thei shul bringe it a&yogh;een in to ri&yogh;twisnesse;
28 and he shal to-trede the hydous
gilteres and the synneres togidere,
and thatt forsoken the Lord, shul ben distro&yogh;id.
29 Thei shul ben confoundid forsothe
of the maumetes, to the whiche thei
sacrifieden; and &yogh;ee shuln ben shamed
vp on the gardynes, that &yogh;ee hadden
chosen.
30 Whan &yogh;ee shul ben as an oek,
the leues fallende doun, and as a gardyn
with oute water.
31 And &yogh;oure strengthe
shal ben as a `deed sparke of a flax top,
and &yogh;oure werk as a sparcle; and eithir
shal be brend vp togidere, and ther shal
not ben that quenche.
