1 Tellende forth forsothe Elyu, thes
thingis also spac,
2 Hereth, wise men, my

forsothe woordis proueth, and the throte

4 Dom chese we to
vs; and among vs see wee what is betere.
5 For thou seidist, Job, Ri&yogh;twis I am, and

6 In
demyng forsothe me is lesing, and violent
is myn arewe withoute any synne.
7 Who
is a man, as is Job, that drinketh scornyng
as water?
8 that goth with men wirkende
wickidnesse, and wendeth with vnpytous
men?
9 Forsothe he seide, A man
shal not plese to God, also if he shul

15 Al flesh shal faile to gidere;

looueth not dom mai ben helid? and

mannys power is, that he come to God

24 He shal to-trede manye and
vnnoumbrable; and make to stonden
othere men for hem.
25 Forsothe he knew
the werkis of hem; and therfore he shal
bringe in ny&yogh;t, and thei shul be to-trede.

wente awei fro hym, and alle his weies

28 That thei
make to come to hym the cri of the nedi,

forsothe grauntende pes, who is that condempneth?
Sithen he hath hid his chere,
who is that beholdeth hym? And vpon
Jentilis and vpon alle men,
30 the whiche
maketh to regne an ipocrite man, for the
synnes of the puple.
31 Thanne for I spac
to God, thee also I shal not forfende.
32 If
I haue errid, thou teche me; if wickidnesse
I spac, I shal adde no mor.
33 Whether
God of thee asketh it out, for he displeside
to thee? Thou forsothe begunne
to speke, and not I; that if any thing
thou knewe betere, spec.
34 Vnderstondende
men, speke thei to me; and a wis man,
here he me.
35 Job forsothe folily spac, and
the woordis of hym soune not disciplyne.
36 Fader myn, be preued Job vnto the ende;
ne leue thou fro a man of wickidnesse,
37 that addeth vp on his synnes blasfemye.
Amongis vs euere among be he streyned;
and thanne at the dom terre he God
with his woordis.
