2 Answerende forsothe Job seide, Thanne
&yogh;ee ben men alone, that with &yogh;ou dwelle
wisdam?
3 And to me is an herte, as and
to &yogh;ou, ne lowere I am than &yogh;ee; who
forsothe these thingis, that &yogh;ee knowen,
vnknoweth?
4 Who is scorned of his frend,
as I, inwardli shal clepe God, and he shal
heren hym; forsothe the symplenesse of
the ri&yogh;twise is scorned.
5 A laumpe despisid
anent the tho&yogh;tis of riche men,
maad redi to the ordeyned time.
6 The
tabernaclis of reueres abounden; and
hardili thei terren God, whan he &yogh;iueth
alle thingus in to the hondis of hem.
7 No
wunder, aske the bestis, and thei shul
teche thee; and the foulis of heuene, and
thei shul shewe to thee.
8 Spec to the
erthe, and it shal answer to thee; and
the fisshis of the se shul telle tho thingis.
9 Who vnknoweth, that alle these thingis
the hond of the Lord made?
10 In whos
hond the soule of alle lyuynge, and the

holde togidere watris, alle thingus shul be
maad drie; if he out sende them, thei shul

16 Anent hym
is strengthe and wisdam; he knew and
the begilere and hym that is begilid.
17 And he bringeth forth the counseileris
in to a fool ende, and domesmen in to
stoneing.
18 The girdil of kingus he looside,
and girte with a corde the reenes of hem.
19 He bringeth the prestis of hem vnglorious,
and the beste men of wrshipe he
supplauntith;
20 chaungende the lippe of
trewe men, and the teching of olde men
doende awei.
21 He heeldeth out despising
vp on princis, and hem, that weren opressid,
releueth.
22 That sheweth vp depe
thingis fro dercnessis; and bringeth forth
in to li&yogh;t the shadewe of deth.
23 That multeplieth
Jentilis, and leesith hem, and
turned vpso doun in to the hoole restoreth.
24 That withinne chaungeth the
herte of the prince of the puple of the
erthe; and desceyueth hem, that in vein

graspen, as in dercnessis, and not in li&yogh;t;
